Kauffman's Organic Kelp Meal 4 Lb

About this product

• Kelp Supplement for Horses
Kelp contains vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants that help support multiple body functions including coat, skin, intestinal, immune and reproduction.
• Technically, kelp is not seaweed, but in fact a brown algae that grows in cold water “forests.”
• Huge kelp forests flourishing off the California coasts sustain a multitude of invertebrates, fish, sea otters and other marine life.
• Kelp benefits include, but are not limited to:
• Helps a healthy coat and skin
• May support healthy estrous cycles and reproduction
• Provides a source of iodine
• Helps grow healthy hooves
• Delivers the key amino acids lysine, glycine, tyrosine and tryptophan
• While horses require a variety of minerals for a variety of physiological functions, iodine is needed by horses for one reason — the production of two important thyroid hormones called triiodothyronine and thyroxine that are responsible for regulating basal metabolism, growth and promoting stable cell differentiation.
• Kelp for Horses’ Hooves
• Kelp offers a balanced fusion of nutrients for support of hoof growth and health. Enriched with calcium, Vitamin E, Vitamin B and amino acids, kelp helps provide support for growing healthy hooves.
• Kauffman’s® Dried Kelp Supplements for Horses
• Our dried kelp supplement offers the benefits of a nutritional supplement for horses that may be finicky eaters or require additional vitamins and minerals in their diet. Feed adult horses one ounce of dried kelp daily using the measuring cup enclosed in the package.
• Foals should be given ½ ounce each day to help promote growth and overall health naturally
